Development projects implemented in 2008

The Polytechnic College Jihlava wants to continue to expand its technical infrastructure as it has set out in the update of the long-term plan. The strengthening of the IT technical infrastructure includes the establishment of a camera system and the expansion of the disk array. The project includes the acquisition and installation of a camera system in the VT classrooms, computer hall and IT infrastructure areas. As the requirements for self-study in VT classrooms with specific software are constantly increasing, it is necessary to provide electronic surveillance of these areas.

The centralized project aims to contribute to the improvement of the quality of final theses and higher education by creating a nationwide register of university qualification papers, combined with an archive of qualification papers, including the detection of plagiarism (similar texts). The system will be individually adapted to the needs of each school, focusing on maximum user convenience and saving human capacity. The joint project of all participating universities will lead to: the creation of a national repository of final theses; the creation of a national register of electronic university qualification theses; the detection of similar texts in the thesis archive in order to detect possible plagiarism; the guarantee of the thesis archive for the Czech Republic as a scientific and social fund, etc.
