Methodology developed in cooperation between the VŠPJ, the Vysočina Region and the TAČR helps people with hearing difficulties

The project entitled New Approaches, Methods and Technologies in the Field of Diagnosis and Correction of Hearing Impairment in Seniors in Residential Social Services Facilities also involved three social service facilities, from which suitable candidates were selected for hearing testing and subsequent correction. Home Jeřabina Pelhřimov, Home for the elderly Jihlava - Lesnov and Home Nové Syrovice were involved. The seniors learned to use and care for their hearing aids with the help of trained staff of the above mentioned organisations. In addition, a specialised methodology for individual care planning for seniors with hearing impairments was developed and is currently available for free download on the website of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs HERE.
