VŠPJ joins the Pie for Hospice event again
The Polytechnic University of Jihlava will again this year become a partner of the traditional charity event Pie for Hospice. By contributing 50 CZK, students and employees of the VŠPJ can support the activities of Barka - home hospice and take home a sweet cake as a symbolic reward. On Wednesday, 9 October, the cake stand will be located opposite the gatehouse in the school lobby from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. The event is held under the auspices of the Regional Charity Jihlava.
On the occasion of Palliative Care Week, which this year falls on 7-13 October, the Jihlava Regional Charity is organising a voluntary fundraising campaign for its mobile hospice Bárka. It provides professional medical and social services to the dying and their loved ones and accompanies the terminally ill in their last days of life. This year, the money raised will be used to purchase nursing supplies and for the daily operation of Barka.
On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, the cake stand will be located across from the front desk in the lobby of the College of Education from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The minimum donation amount is 50 CZK and it is possible to donate both the exact amount in cash and non-cash using a QR code.
Donating to palliative and hospice care will also be possible in other parts of Jihlava. In addition to Masaryk Square, it can be found at the hospital, the tax office, the General Health Insurance Company, the Jihlava Psychiatric Hospital and partner companies.
