Come and take a peek under the hood of studying at our university. The Open Day of the Polytechnic College Jihlava will take place twice this year. For the first time, the doors of the VŠPJ will open to all interested parties on Thursday, 1 February 2024 from 9.00 to 14.00. Applicants for studies at the VŠPJ who cannot make the Thursday deadline due to school or work obligations, but fortunately they do not have to despair. The Open Day will also take place at the weekend, on Saturday, 3 February, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition to tours of the medical, technical, economic or social fields, applicants can also look forward to presentations by individual departments, for example, which will give them an overview of their study options. They will also get a unique opportunity to talk to current students at info points, test their English at the British Council Test Centre, race on the treadmill or try out wheelchair handling.
The Rector of the Polytechnic University Jihlava invites employees, students and the general public to the 8th Representative Ball of the Polytechnic University Jihlava, which will take place on Friday, 15 March 2024 in the premises of the Worker's House at Žižkova 15, Jihlava. The gates of the Worker's House will open at 7 pm and the ball itself will start at 7.30 pm.

The Polytechnic College Jihlava is organising a round table to share good practice and discuss current issues related to vocational study programmes. Representatives of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, rectors of universities, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic, representatives of local governments, etc. are invited to the round table. The Polytechnic College Jihlava was established by law on 3 June 2004 as the first public non-university college in the Czech Republic. Two decades since its foundation, during which it has become an indispensable centre of regional education, it will celebrate the Week of Higher Education in Jihlava from 3 to 9 June 2024. Students, staff and friends of the school from the general public can look forward to concerts, lectures or discussions. The week will close with sports. On Thursday, 6 June, the traditional sports event Sport with VŠPJ 2024 will take place at Masaryk Square in Jihlava. From 7 to 9 June, the International Baseball Tournament Memorial of Rector Ladislav Jirka - VŠPJ Cup will take place at the Sports Complex of Otokar Březina and Demlova Elementary Schools, commemorating the first rector of VŠPJ and his passion for baseball. The birthday celebrations were financially supported by the Vysočina Region and the Statutory City of Jihlava.
Electronic one-man show Ventolina, noise explosions of the band Chief Bromden, jazz and soul-soaked hip hop of Jihlava's Behind the Beat, energetic group of musicians SpazierGang or drumming performance of the group Drumband consisting of clients of the Day and Weekly Residential Centre Jihlava. These are just some of the highlights of the rich Polytechna Fest programme. You can also look forward to a rich accompanying programme, a varied offer of food and drinks or sports activities.
The 20th anniversary of the school's founding will commemorate its first rector and his passion for baseball. From 7 to 9 June, the first edition of the international baseball tournament, the Rector Ladislav Jirků Memorial - VŠPJ Cup, will take place at the Otokara Březina and Demlova Elementary School sports complex as part of the Sports with VŠPJ 2024 project. The international baseball tournament, which is held in honour of the first rector of VŠPJ and one of the founders of baseball in Jihlava Ladislav Jirku, is intended for teams competing in the youth category up to 13 years old. Teams from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and Germany will come to play for the traveling baseball cup. The event is held with the financial support of the Vysočina Region and the Statutory City of Jihlava.
Academic and Graduation Day is the traditional informal opening of the academic year at the Polytechnic University of Jihlava. During this event, new and existing students, staff and alumni, as well as visitors from the public, have the opportunity to spend an afternoon in pleasant company, meet and talk with representatives of the college, heads of departments, supervisors of study programmes and other persons from the VŠPJ.
In November 2024, the thirteenth annual Job and Internship Fair for students, alumni, staff and friends of the school will be held at the VŠPJ. The fair will be held at the VŠPJ Learning Centre at Tolstého 16, 586 01 Jihlava and its adjacent premises. Interested parties can look forward to offers from exhibitors, while the afternoon programme is dedicated to professional lectures focusing on the development of professional skills.
On the occasion of the International Students' Day and the Day of the Struggle for Freedom and Democracy, the Jihlava Polytechnic College together with the Society for the Return of the TGM Statue to Jihlava organises the MEETING OF LIGHTS AT THE KEYS. The event will commemorate the historical events of 1939 and the Velvet Revolution fifty years later. Join us for the parade of lights starting from the Polytechnic University Jihlava.
So in 2024, Christmas at VŠPJ will take place, a traditional charity event in which students and employees of VŠPJ support a selected non-profit organization from the Vysočina Region with a material collection.
